Skin care is important for beautiful, well moisturised skin but skin hydration also depends on what we eat. Discover our 3 tips to help you hydrate from within.
1 - Eat the right kind of fats
Essential fatty acids are vital: omega-3 improve the skin’s elasticity and omega-6 promote cutaneous hydration! Olive oil and oily fish (salmon, sardines, mackerel and herring) are a great source of omega 3 and 6. By choosing these foods you will also be doing your skin a favour!
2 - Eat fruit and vegetables with a high water content
Make sure you eat plenty of fruits and vegetables that are naturally rich in in water in order to hydrate yourself from the inside out! Ensure you include some with every meal!
3 - Make sure you eat food that is rich in vitamin E
Vitamin E promotes hydration of the skin, particularly on the surface by strengthening the cutaneous hydrolipidic film. Vitamin in E can be found in numerous foods:
